Offshore Fishing Charters in New Smyrna Beach & Daytona Beach, Ponce Inlet, Port Orange Florida.
10 HOUR TRIP FOR UP TO 6 PEOPLE
PRICE IS FOR ENTIRE BOAT, NOT PER PERSON
Our offshore trips are handled by our 36′ Contender. Equipped with the latest safety gear, electronics and mechanical upgrades she is fast, handles the worst of all sea conditions and is one of the most fishing friendly vessels ever produced.
We also provide the latest and best performing fishing gear money can buy like AB-1 fishing rods, Penn and Seigler reels and top of the line consumable tackle.
Our offshore trips start out with some bottom fishing, normally we target Grouper, Snapper, Jacks, Trigger fish and your basic dinner plate species.
Once we’ve exhaust our bottom fishing we head into the big blue for Mahi, Wahoo, Sailfish, Marlin, Tuna, Kingfish and Sharks. We troll in anywhere from 200′ to 2000′ foot of water. Generally hitting the edge of the Gulf Stream and sometimes reaching other side.
This trip generally will last anywhere from 10-12 hrs. This is our ultimate big game fishing experience.
If fly fishing peaks your interest we also cater to big game fly fishing anglers, You can expect to catch Kingfish, Bonito, Black Fin Tuna and Jacks on the fly. We provide all fly fishing tackle but feel free to bring your own.
The price of this charter is $1000 plus fuel.
Fuel prices will vary depending on how far we have to go to catch fish. The Gulf Stream is roughly 55 miles out. The Contender will burn a gallon a mile running and 1/2 that trolling. On a typical Gulf Stream trip you can expect to burn 150-200 gallons. Fuel is anywhere from $3.50-$4.00 per gallon. Generally the entire trip can be done for under $2000. Split 6 ways is still under $350 per person.
Fuel consumption is measured by our fuel flow meter that gets reset to zero soon as the motors are fired up.
The advantage to this is if the group decides they don’t want to run all the way to the Gulf Stream and stay close to shore and bottom fish your fuel bill will be significantly smaller.
