Offshore fishing report July 9th:
Tons of weeds moved closer to shore which brought the pelagic bite into the 80 to 150 foot of water. Although it’s a chore to clear all the baits as you troll through the miles and miles of sargassum it usually yields good results. Naked ballyhoo got the most bites.

Offshore fishing report July11th:
We ran a little different trip this time. Stayed close to shore and fished for bonita on light spinning rods. Using vertical speed jigs we cast into the school of bonita and it didn’t take long to get a bite. If you’re looking to have a ton of fun bending rods it doesn’t get much more fun than this. Great way to practice for tarpon.
